Lyrics
Suzie was an astronaut,
At least she was at night
When she climbed into bed
And then turned out the light.
She dreamed about a spaceship
That would take her to the stars
Flying through the universe
Going straight past Mars.
She thought about the planets
She’d discover one fine day,
She hoped to be the first to fly
Right through the Milky Way.
Stepping from her rocket
Walking on the moon
Looking back at earth
She’d need to wake up soon.
Charlie was a diver
He went floating through the night,
His bed became a submarine
When he turned out the light.
Cutting through the waves
Then plunging oh so steep,
The light began to fade
As he descended to the deep.
A turtle, then an octopus
And could that be a shark?
Then suddenly so far down
That it became quite dark.
The wonders on the ocean bed
So much he could explore,
But then the morning light was here
And he could dream no more.
Like Suzie and like Charlie
We can travel in the night,
We can go exploring
When we turn out the light.
Nothing is impossible
And sometimes dreams come true,
So never be afraid to dream
There’s no one quite like you.
